Billy Sitze Obituary

Billy Keith Sitze, 78, of Marble Hill, Missouri, gained his heavenly wings on January 30th, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on April 10, 1947, to Willie J. and Allie M. (Monie) Sitze in Marquand, Missouri. Billy Keith was an only child and was raised by his mother. He was saved in the Baptist Faith at the age of 11. He was baptized at the old lower bridge on DD highway in Marquand. He always enjoyed singing in the choir at church and through the years, he sang in several small groups around the community.

Billy Keith graduated from Marquand High School in 1965. He worked until being drafted into the United States Army in December in 1968. He proudly served a total of two years, including one year in Vietnam. Following his active-duty service, he continued serving in the Missouri National Guard with the 1140th Engineer Battalion until his retirement in 1998.

On May 13, 1978, Billy Keith married the love of his life, June Jordan. Together, they raised two children: Kevin (Valorie) Sitze of Scopus, Missouri and Penny (Jon) Cook of Marble Hill, Missouri.

Billy Keith enjoyed spending time at the family cabin on Castor River. He was always active and hardworking, whether outdoors or in his shop. He also enjoyed going on rides in the side-by-side with his grandkids, always ready for an adventure. He worked for ARI for 21 years until suffering a stroke in October of 2008, which forced him into early retirement. Billy Keith was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend who will deeply be missed.

He leaves behind four grandchildren: Allie (Braeden) Zajicek of Scott City, Carsen Sitze of Marble Hill, and Madison and Noah Cook of Marble Hill.

He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Karla Dawn Sitze, and his parents, Willie and Allie Sitze.

Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 11:00 am, at Grassy Friendship Cemetery, with Brother Bill Warner officiating.  Billy Keith will have full military honors.
